Yesterday's self-pity fest was due in part to a brief but painful bout with strep throat that I am now happily swallowing pills for (shout out to my girl at Walgreens!) and hope to be done with by Thanksgiving so as not to interfere with my big eatin' plans. I'm having sunnier thoughts today (at least I wasn't sick in France, I get more food next week, etc.) and wanted this little travelogue to have a happy ending; it's amazing what antibiotics and a little self-validation can do to buck up your spirits. I mean, Belle is the total package: smart as hell and her fucking name means beauty. Hello?
